Patient #1324

This 85-year-old man had a 1.1-centimeter defect of the nose after Mohs excision of skin cancer. The wound was closed by moving the nearby skin, called a bilobe flap. Afterwards, he underwent dermabrasion (skin sanding) to help blend the scar. We were really happy with the result and there is essentially no evidence of having surgery. This technique actually helped push the right nostril down a little which makes his nose more attractive.
