Mohs Reconstruction Before & After Photos

This 56-year-old woman underwent Mohs excision of a skin cancer on her nasal tip. This left a 1.5-centimeter defect down to the underlying cartilage. Because she had thin skin on her nose, we were able to reconstruct the wound with a full-thickness skin graft. Skin grafts can sometimes look a little like a “patch”, so we used skin sanding (dermabrasion) to help blend the scar. The area is now almost invisible (as shown here with no makeup) and completely disappears under a light layer of makeup.
