A person’s face is considered well-balanced when the forehead, the nose, and the chin make up equal thirds of the face from the front, face-on view.
Balance is also considered from the profile, as it looks at the forehead, the nose, and the chin from the side. This patient shared that she felt her chin seemed slightly smaller than ideal for her face. Dr. Tolan performed a septorhinoplasty to address her breathing difficulties and the bump on her nose, and also performed a chin augmentation, to make her chin more balanced with her facial features.
